SAT Math Question (14) - Basic Trigonometry
I love basic trigonometry! It is so easy once you get the concept, so teaching it is no problem! Here is a guide to what you may see on the SATs. Enjoy my friends!
Right Triangles with Labeled Sides
There are only so many they can give you... H - Hypotenuse (opposite the right angle), O - Opposite (opposite the given angle, theta), A - Adjacent (touching the given angle, theta).

Some Examples
- A triangle has side lengths 5, 12, 13. What is one of the angles?
- Solve for x.
Practical Example
A plane starts its descent with an angle of depression of 15 degrees. If it is 200 miles from the airport, how high is the plane?
Nice post! But I guess you sould have identified the perpendicular, base and hypotenuse as 'p', 'b' and 'h' respectively. I mean it will help readers to not get puzzled. Thank you :)
Thank you for the advice splash! I will try to clarify it.
Your always welcome :)
Nice info
Thank you ahmadsaini! My old roommate had the last name of Saini. His name was Prabjote.
Thank you! More to come.
it's very hard no knowledge for that kind of math! T_T
