Yes, the person who has put his mind and soul into the first Decentralized matchmaking platform is Yonatan Ben Shimon, the CEO and co-founder of Matchpool.

Yonatan Ben Shimon, a resident of Israel, used to manage a hedge fund which invest in Cryptocurrencies. He was successfully managing his hedge fund for over 2.5 years. He had a deep interest in Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrencies in general. He often used to visit the Bitcoin Embassy in Israel, a place where people come to share their ideas and thoughts on Blockchain and exchanges their ideas to come up with something empowering. He came to London and decided to create an amazing platform which would be decentralized and one of its kind. He came up with idea of Matchpool and assembled a team to convert it into reality. He still manage a considerable portfolio of cryptocurrencies in his wallet.

As I mentioned above, Matchpool is the first Decentralized matchmaking platform which use smart contracts. Matchpool uses group dynamics in order to help as many participants as possible to find love. Matchpool users will divide into two categories joiners and hosts.

Joiners, who wish to enter the pool of their choice, will have to pay the pools requisite entry fee which will be defined at creation of that pool by the pool's host. In addition to this one-time registration fee, monthly membership fee will be paid to the pool. All payments will be held in an Ether based smart contract and will be processed using Matchpool's owned network token called Guppy (GUP).

On other side, users can also play the role of hosts and matchmakers. The hosts will be the one who opens a custom pool and gets dividends from it's revenues and matchmakers can propose a match between two other joiners who they believe would be good partners. Those two joiners are then notified and if they both accept, the event is added to their public notebooks and matchmakers gets rewarded.

Both Joiners and Matchmakers are rewarded with the Guppy's tokens.

Like all the great things were subjected to a controversy at some point of their 'Growth' phase, Matchpool also faced a controversy a few months back.

One of the co-founders of Matchpool, Philip Saunders, detailed he was leaving the project. Futhermore he added, '' 37500 Ethers worth $1.7 million have been withdrawan from the multi-seg wallet by the CEO Yonatan Ben Shinom without any previous notice”.

But immediately the Matchpool team members notified him about the funds, stating that all the funds are secured in Bitcoin because of Ethereum volatility few months back. One of the team member also presented the proof on social media in form of a screenshot confirming money is safe alongside an address with $1.7 million BTC.

Max Richardson, Co-founder and CCO of Matchpool, also stated that this controversy happened due to some miscommunication among team members and then he sorted out all the controversial questions with facts. For those who’re calling it a scam get their pretty satisfied answers.

Yonatan Ben Shimon also came forward and explained all the reasons of miscommunication and presented the proof of money's existence in Trezor wallet with solid worth $1.7 million in BTC. Further he discussed his plans on social media regarding Matchpool platform and it's value for society.

Ned Scott, CEO of Steemit, also advising the Matchpool team and praising it's protocols saying this is a new approach for doing a lot of things.
