What do the markets go from "rational" to "irrational"?
The answer to this is hard to tell. Of late, one indicator might be the IPO market. Since 1980, we have the highest percentage of companies going public that lost money the 12 months prior.
The Wall Street Journal reports that 83% of the companies going public in the first 3 quarters of 2018 lost money the year before.
