It's almost Friday. Two things happen right now, the first #MarketFriday I'm making from vacation, from another country ... wonderful Greece! It is also the last day of this holiday ... Saturday morning we head to the house, over 800 km of driving.
Any seaside resort also has this market size. Everywhere there are shops and stalls ready to sell something. In Greece, the more! First of all, this inclination of the Greeks to trade, and then, from this, they provide the necessary income for survival.
Stalls and stands
Small souvenirs and many necessary items are everywhere. All you have to do is just take the money or the card and put it in your hands. I'm more cautious, but my wife and our friend are in love with the pleasure of buying.
And so, I could show you hundreds of such images. My girls were happy ... I was elsewhere with my thoughts and desire.
Well, that's what I'm dreaming about. Please forgive the poor framing of the photos ... I tried to shoot without being seen.
Unfortunately, I could not cook over. I had no place to do that.
Fortunately, however, I found a great place to eat very well. A tavern where we ate home to the Greeks!
Tavern in the middle of the street!
Even so, the best tavern in Limenaria, the small town where I lived in Thassos. A family of Greeks, I know the name of one of them, Dimitri, they have some tables on the street and every evening after 7:30 PM they ofer great eat there!
A special meal offered as between friends and neighbors, a delicious, cheap food! Every time I get some extra stuff from the house, most of the time the drink!
A great place, I ate only there. We can hardly wait for the evening!
A few words about our friend. Piano Teacher! She was a singer somewhat known in the 80-90s in Romania. Backing vocals and solo rock band, new wave ... Elena(on the left in image)...this is a song about 40 years ago! We have been friends for over thirty years since Elena was the soloist of a Romanian band called The Wheel(Roata)

Now I really want to go to Greece @bluemoon. Can't believe I never made it there when I travelled the Middle East and lived in the UK. My favourite of these Greek markets would be that amazing food!
Greece is a wonderful country with wonderful people living there. I must admit I learned a lot about a real lifestyle. I think you must visit when your boy will be ready for this. Yes, the food is amazing!

Thanks ! ;-) I just draw or paint everyday, this is only practice ^_^I am not very skilled when it comes to draw something I have never drawn, it is not as natural for me as it can be for other drawer, I'm really just a practicer that loves what she draws, and this makes me happy enough this way... ;-)

I know that you are a traveler, @margaretwise and how good your husband is the same. This makes traveling a joy! Greece is a wonderful country, for me it is maximum. Of course, I cannot compare to similar places ... because I have not seen others.
I'm not a traveler, if I like a place I can go there for many years ... I get to be familiar with places, people, make friends and it's great joy to meet them every year. I like to see their joy when we meet.
The island of Thassos where we are going now is very close to Bulgaria and is a Balkan area ... it does not have the Italian influences of southern Greece. In the southern part, places are more spectacular as beauty.
If you want to see more I recommend a friend in Greece, @tikotiko ... you can search through her posts, there are many Greek travel or gastronomy. They are very beautiful ... this can help if you plan a trip.
