Central Waters Brewery River Run

Yesterday I was at Central Waters Brewery in the rinky-dink town of Amherst, WI, for their annual River Run.

Had a fun time, and after running my 5 miles, there was a Muddy Puppy Porter waiting to warm me up on the cool and windy day. Think I actually needed the beer more to dull the pain from a spill I took. Had someone hit my back leg, and I took a tumble just after mile 1, but despite a little road rash and a bruise on my hip, I kept trucking along.

My time: 36:47, was a few seconds shy of my PR—thanks to that fall! But still, it was the fastest in my age group, so I took home a nifty new mug as a prize.
