Making a passport day for them kids
Today is one of those days where I've gotta run around all over the place to get passports done for the kids. It's something which is not a fun thing to do at all however it's necessary as you know... Without passports... Means no international travelling for any of the kids.
The great thing about processing passports in Malaysia is that they are pretty efficient in getting things done... I won't be able to compare to other countries as I've no idea how the process is like.. But from talking to my friends from around the region.. Its a nightmare.
As long as you have the correct documents you are quickly given a number. Only problem is the wait may take awhile as there just soo many people like what you see above.
Looks like I'm still pretty far away. However I'm kept entertained with reading posts on Steem blockchain and my kids.
Facts about Malaysian passports
- We are ranked as one of the top passport in the world.. In 2018 we were no. 5 because we can literally enter into almost all countries except Israel.
- Our passports were one of the first to fully implement a chip base e-passport.. That is why you will not see a queue at the Malaysian passport section. We kinda just tap our passport, scan our fingers and off we go. If only other countries are compatible we would not need to wait as passport control for so gawd damn long.
- Malaysian passport are embedded with additional security features to make it hard to clone. As in the dark markets a Malaysian passport can fetch a really good price.
Anyway.... Time to start planning for a family trip overseas 😁😁😁.. Cheers all and have a great day... I kinda know where I'm gonna be the whole day.

Yeap.. Its normally within the same day or the next. In some cases the longest is 5 working days
