Periwinkle eye look for cancer benefit

Happy Tuesday!! As I said yesterday, I was volunteering for a benefit auction on Saturday for my husband's cousin who is fighting Stage IV Small Cell Esophageal Cancer. It is a terminal cancer, but thanks to the auction we are going to get the absolute best care possible for her and help her fight to live as long as possible. While we all wore t-shirts to support her cause and painted our nails the periwinkle color, I decided to go above that and create an eye look just for her cause.

Today I am going to show you just how I did it. I hope you enjoy!!

First up are the shadows I used and the blush and bronzer. I went with the Coastal Scents pallet, Loreal Matte single and the Elf Blush and Bronzer duo.

I first put concealer on my lid and smoothed it out with a brush for a nice blank sticky canvas. AND you can see my periwinkle nails. We all had our nails painted for the auction to support our cousin.

I took the bronzer from the elf pallet and swept it thru my crease.

I packed the purple color all over my lid.

Next I packed the blue all over the purple...this gives it the periwinkle color.

I went into the outer V with the Loreal matte shadow and blended it out for some deepness.

I took the deep purple color and packed it into the outer corner of my eye and blended it up a bit. I liked how the purple came through over the dark burgandy color.....this gives the look just hint more of dimension and cools the burgandy color down a bit.

Next I put black pencil liner in my lower water line and on my lash line, topped it with the purple and then topped the purple with the blue color....again giving it the periwinkle look.

I use a pink highlighter from City Color in my inner corner (and you will see in a bit, I used it on my cheeks as highlight)

Continuing with black liquid liner, curling lashes, falsies, mascara, bronzer, blush and then highlight.

Finally finishing off the look with my lipstick, Rimmel's Stay Matte liquid lipstick in Blush.

And you are all done!!

I loved this look so much and even though it's just another makeup look for most, for me it was a chance to show my support for Brad's cousin in her battle.

I hope you like the look I created and will come back again to visit me really soon!! I won't be here tomorrow, I will be celebrating with my family on the 4th of July our Independence day here in the US. I hope you all have a beautiful Tuesday and a happy Wednesday. I will see you Thursday. Unit then, take care.
