Make Steemit Healthy Again – A simple tip to live more healthy

maxresdefault.jpg

This looks like an unfair game

I have recently, within the last couple of months, started to live more and more healthy. I, as many others, have had problems to maintain a healthy (more healthy) lifestyle, due to lack of discipline, urges, desires etc. I always found myself going back to eating like shit after a couple of weeks, so I knew I had to change my mind in order to start living more healthy. I saw an interview with Eckhart Tolle, where he was asked “What’s the purpose of life” where Eckhart answered that we should not be the one asking the questions, but be the one who is being asked. I thought about that for a couple of weeks, and thought it was a quite interesting way to look at it. Therefore I tried to apply it in smaller everyday routines, like living healthier. Instead of asking myself “What do I want to eat today?” I would ask my body. I would ask my body “What does my body want to have today?” The answers are quite simple. Vegetables, no processed food, nuts, healthy fat etc. This was just an example of diet, but it can be applied into multiple areas of your life. From being the serveant of my mind, I became the serveant of my body.

How do you guys maintain a healthy living, and do you think this tip would help you?

Exercise and eating healthy are two of the three best things to improve your health (the most important is never smoke or stop). Never smoking is the single best step to good health. Look at the US Nurses Health Study. Not smoking, exercising (30 minutes of brisk walking at least 5 days a wk., and eating more fruits and vegetables) lowered the risk of Cardio Vascular Disease (CVD), mainly heart attacks and strokes (the leading cause of death) by 70%.

I bet it is, and it makes sense :) I can't wait to begin doing some aerobic exercise again :)

I have a daily exercise routine where I focus on certain parts of my body to work on. For now, I've been on my abs and thighs. Plus, I hate the idea of dieting so the fear of getting fat and out of shape also pushes me.
Sidenote: How you been?

Awesome to have certain focus points. I also do that sometimes before bed. Almost every night a certain part of your body could need a little massage, so I would focus on that. Yeees. Fear can be a great motivator! I have been okay. I have had a lot going on, so I haven't had the time to be on here, and now I want to start some sort of project where I can maybe help one or two people, instead of just writing about random stuff just get a few bucks. But overall I'm good, thanks! How are you? What have you been up to?

I've been okay, making friends on steemit and all. I recently quit a marketing job because its not my thing so I've been getting by from my steemit posts. There's this #comedyopenmic that's growing on steemit, its a fun way to enjoy the steemit experience and I made really cool friends there. We've been trying to get @acidyo to partake in it and you could give it a shot as well.
For the fitness part, there's #fitnesschallenge hosted by @steemmatt where one does 100 honest reps of an exercise and updates it daily on his daily blog post.
Its on break for now due to an unforeseen accident that affected his family.
What project do you have in mind? All I've got is time and fast fingers for typing these days

I think @acidyo has a lot to focus on. Regarding the project I don't really know. I just want to help people get better, if they are feeling down or out of shape. Do you have any ideas?

I guess you could make daily videos of yourself exercising and explaining to people that despite your stressful schedule, you still manage to keep going.
Maybe including something like a log of your activities including photos

Hey if you go out and do exercise and track it feel free to throw it into my #steemtravels posts! I forget what country you're from but having a little contest trying to get people more active! I'm hoping by season 3 theres quite of few entries every time!

I am from Denmark :) Due to a knee injury I am not able to run or anything like that, but I might take some pictures of me bouldering, if that counts?

The contest is essentially when people walk or run to post the map of their distance! That's awesome though I'd love to do bouldering! I'm leaving Aarhus next week but it's been a good year in Denmark!

People with joint pain and arthritis can benefit greatly from water aerobics (swimming pools, lakes and oceans) when normal exercise would be too painful. Water takes the pain and stress off painful joints. 150 METS each week is the key (one minute of brisk walking equals 1 MET.
