If you like writing news articles and you want to try to make some cash doing it, then consider writing for Blasting News. I'll discuss what this website is, how things work over there, the pros & cons of writing for them and whether or not writing for Blasting is worth it. 

What Is Blasting News

Blasting News is a news website, but it relies on a network of citizen journalists from around the world. In other words, regular people from all walks of life writes articles for the site. Just like all news websites, Blasting has various sections/topics that range from crime stories to entertainment to politics and so forth.

Blasting news has a very large network of writers. I can't give an exact number. However, it is obvious the site has plenty of writers and I would bet they get a flood of new writers on a regular basis. 

How Does It Work

The signup process for Blasting News is pretty straightforward and much like any other website. You provide basic info about yourself to set up your account and then you're good to go. Generally speaking, it doesn't take long to complete the signup process at Blasting. 

As for publishing, you create a news article and then submit it. The news article as to be at least 2,000 characters and you have to link back to two other stories on the site. The stories have to be relevant. There's a few other requirements, but they are all relatively easy to meet.

Who Can Write For Them

Honestly, it looks like anyone can signup for an account with Blasting News. It doesn't matter if you're in the middle of America, Mexico, South America, Romania or somewhere in Western Europe, you can join Blasting and publish news articles. Do not take my word for it, but from my research it looks like pretty much anyone can become a writer for the news site. 

Here's a tip, feel free to email the site. Ask them if they accept writers from the country you live in. If not, then don't get discourage and just find another news site that does accept writers from your area. 

The Pros Of Writing News For Blasting News

In my opinion (as someone who has experience writing for them) there are many pros to writing for Blasting News. Although there are a number of benefits, the top three are: 

1. Write About Anything- When I say anything, I mean news-related. You aren't tied down, so you don't have to stick with writing news in just one category.  

2. Change To Make Money- When your news articles are published on Blasting, you get the chance to make money. The more views you receive, the more money you'll make. The rates are decent, but what you get paid per view depends on various factors. In the past, one of my articles made $150 (USD) and it was fairly quick to write. 

3. It's Fun- I love writing, and I love writing about a range of things. News is included in this, which is why I think writing for Blasting News is fun to write for. 

The Cons Of Writing News For Blasting News

As much as I think Blasting News is a good site, there are a few cons. These cons aren't too major. They are:

1. Tough To Create Viral Content- For me, creating viral news content on a regular basis is tough. Not every piece you write is going to go viral. 

2. Not All Articles Will Rake In Cash- As previously mentioned, one article raked in $150, but I've had a number of articles that only made a few cents. This is just the nature of the beast. 

3. Can Take A While To Write Some Articles- Honestly, 2,000 characters is not a lot. However, some news pieces are short and figuring out what to add to it to reach the character count can be a hassle. IN turn, it can take longer than you'd like to write a news article on Blasting.

Is It Worth It

In short, it's worth writing for Blasting News. It's a good place to hone your news article writing skills and who knows, you could end up making a few hundred dollars per month. 

I highly doubt you're going to make six figures a year writing for Blasting News. However, if you get on a routine of publishing news articles regularly on Blasting and you spend a bit of time sharing your articles, then you could probably make a few hundred per month. Who knows, maybe you'll end up making some cash.
