The Tale of the Snail - [Original Photos]

Hey guys

As well as taking images of Sid the Spider yesterday, I also managed to get some images of this wonderful snail who happened to pose for me. All of these images, apart from the second one are taken with my on-camera diffuser set up. The second one is natural light only (hence the slightly shallower depth of field). If you look carefully at the first image, you can see another subject just hanging around to the left of the snail. I guess this is some kind of natural photo-bomb.

Needless to say, it was a LOT easier to take images of this fella than that pesky quick spider.

Thanks for looking

In the very first image, is the snail on wood? The shapes are awesome, crop circle looking.

Yeah, it's on the top of a round wooden fence post. Made quite a good studio setting!

I’m looking forward to drawing this @markangel. As soon as I thought about drawing one of your pictures, I was drawn to the one that really got my attention. I started really keeping an eye out for your work when I saw the snail on that piece of wood, the wood looked like crop circles to me.

I don’t know what, if anything, could be done to the top image of this post to give me a clearer perspective. I’m fine with it the way it is, no rush either way! I really couldn’t tell you when I’ll give myself to necessary amount of time to complete it but I’m looking forward to it.

Thank you again!
