Is justice served when a killer is killed?
Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends. Y'all may be wondering why I'm writing this post today, Valentine's Day. Well, let's just say I woke up a little weird today and this is the thought that my weirdness has wrought.
I watched a movie recently and it may be the reason why I'm thinking this way. Let's assume a man was killed by a group of persons but no one can say for certain who the perpetrator is. Everyone in that group was arrested and made to face the law. There is no evidence to accuse anyone so no one could be prosecuted and also, they all pleaded "not guilty".

The family members of the deceased person comes to court everyday to hear the outcome of the case and also hoping the criminal will be prosecuted.
Assuming one of the persons arrested later claim to be responsible for the crime and also claim he is solely responsible and that others should be released although he is not responsible. But maybe because he's tired of his own life or maybe because he's trying to protect the actual person who committed the crime.
The court decides the case. To everybody, a criminal has been prosecuted and probably sentenced to death. They are all happy now and the believed justice have been served. In this case the real killer had not been sentenced to death but everyone still believes justice has been served.
But is justice really served when the killer is killed?
Can hatred and revenge be compared to the lost soul?
Can you make them come back through vengeance?
Can revenge replace all the good memories that may come back to hurt you because you didn't spend enough time with them?
In not sure I have answers to all these questions but I don't think justice has been served.
What if forgiveness is the best punishment we can give to those who offend us. What if it is love?
What if forgetting their wickedness is the only solution?
What if I'm wrong? What if you're not right?
It's Valentine's Day and also a day to love one another. Maybe this did not fit as a Valentine post as first but now I think it's more of it.
It's too early in the day for me to be thinking this deep...my brain hurts...
Sorry @ddrfr33k I'm just having weird thoughts today..
It's all good, don't worry about it.
The only Panacea is forgiveness.Though to forgive required spiritual strength,it doesn't lies in the flesh.Sign of flesh weakness is lack of forgiveness. But spirit of a regenerated soul find it easier to forgive.
@steepup you are right. Forgiveness doesn't just lie in the flesh if not it would be impossible to forgive.
