READ AND BE BLESSED
If after discovering God's love for you in Christ, you become flippant, frivolous, and irreverent towards God, I make bold to say you haven't heard it all! When the heart of a man is captured by the eternal, unconditional, out-of-this-world display of God's love extended to us via Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection, it compels and invokes love for Him. John, the Apostle captures this best: 'We love Him because He first loved us' (1 John 4:19). Until our discovery of His love for us prompts love for Him, spiritual growth is yet to begin. Maybe some mere excitements over liberty we're yet to really comprehend. Look through the book of Acts and see the fervent service, reverent devotion, consistent commitment, and nearly unbelievable persistent preaching in the face of acute persecution, which the early church showcased. Suddenly, these mere timid mortals had become valiant, radiant, joyful, and daring in heralding the gospel of the One they forsook the night He was arrested. What happened to them? They were dangerously infected by the love of God. Nothing else mattered...
