"God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit", Romans 5:5. Exegesis, meaning, importance and commentary.

The apostle Paul synthesizes the virtue of hope with a teaching about love: "God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit", Romans 5:5. This teaching is also a conclusion of Saint Augustine in his book Confessions, where he narrates his spiritual asceticism towards the truth.

Receiving the love of god in philosophical terms means receiving his essence and his likeness. The goal of every spiritual path is to achieve the full likeness to God. The love as gift of the holy spirit, is the love projected towards the whole creation of god, "love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31) is another expression, the love united to the nature of the good, this love is called in greek lenguage "agape", in latin "charitas" or "love of charity".
This is the love that allows us to perceive God and his wisdom: "Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God", Matthew 5:8. Precision and accuracy are its main characteristics, the love of charity is the true love, the love free from fear.
We are not born in possession of the truth, we come to the world incomplete and like all living beings we have a nature, a reason of final cause, we can call this predestination.
In general terms because we have a nature, we have a hope, the nature of the worm is the butterfly, the nature of the seed is the tree that bears fruit.
Thomas Aquinas explains that hope is the security of receiving eternal life. The justification instead, is a special help to live according to the spirit (live the spiritual gifts), justification is the passage, the inner step, from a life full of sins to a life of righteousness (Matthew 7:12).
For the hope received in justification we are called to the love of god, explains Paul in Romans 5:1: "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ".
Only through this love can we understand the true meaning of life: increase the order and the perfection of the universe, this mean increasing the bliss (Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5 and Luke 6)
