Post with bread photos but not only about baking, but about posting on Steemit!

in #love8 years ago (edited)

Why do I love baking so much? Or do I actually love baking as much as it seems on Steemit. I have a lot of baking posts, even though majority of my posts are something completely different, but even my profile picture is a bread. And to be honest, I love baking and I love bread and carbs are my best friends.

I haven't been always a good baker. I've learned to bake on a quite late age and I was a bad baker for a good while. However I looked for more information and I practiced, now I see myself as a quite good baker, even though I'm usually making the same kind of bread over and over again with slight changes. I still can post about it, about the same simple things over and over again. That's why I haven't even posted about baking as much as I wanted and to be honest, I haven't posted about baking that much.

I can't show you how I feel when baking. You can't feel the happiness I feel when I bake a good bread. I can't show it to you. I want to post about something I love, but I can't show it to you in the way I want. It makes posting a bit harder and I have to admit, I post about stuff that I don't really care about just to amuse myself. I'm not proud of everything I post.

But one question is, why do I want to prefer baking posts? It's not the only thing I love and it's not the only thing I'm good at, like wanking. I'm proud of many things I do. I could post about fixing my motorboat or building up a shelf, but I'm not posting about that. I don't even want to post about them, even though I could get good posts about all the things I do.

It's not about doing what is best way to earn, as otherwise I wouldn't have done all those Dwarf Fortress posts too. I should do more when I have more time! I know a lot of people posting about things they love rather than things that would seem like the best way to earn money.

One of the reasons might be as I'm usually talking about some of my friends about these subjects. I have a friend I talk about boats, one friend I talk about wanking other manly stuff I do, like working out. This is one place where I might find appreciation to things I do but I can't show off to other people otherwise. I can't show my bread to my friends because.. I want to eat all the bread with my family, not to share them with my friends. On Steemit, things like these can live forever instead of living a vain moment on the lips of my friends.

Remember, whatever you post, don't post it only for money. Don't post it only for others. Post it for yourself too and what is most important: post something you have done. You won't be happy when you are posting something someone else has done.

Think you hit the nail on the last paragraph. For me it is similar in a way...What I post here is not what I usually share with people in rl. When someone asked me why not post all this content on FB....I dont want to. This is mine. Here I am more or less anonymous and with it comes a weird sensation that i have a bit more freedom...just a tad more of moving space.

If that makes sense. :)

It's really something different when this gives us all one degere of freedom of showing different sides of us without having any effect on "real" friends we have. I haven't even told my "real" friends that I'm using Steemit and I'm not sure if I will ever tell anyone.

Same....I told my sister (but she could care less about it lol).

Wanking and baking are perfectly compatible. There's a whole series of films on the subject, actually.

I'm not sure if I'm happy about this comment or not...

Yes I am :D Didnt' even think about this. I'm so old as I know this :(

"You won't be happy when you are posting something someone else has done."Well they would be happy if they would earn from that without being caught

Meh, maybe. But someone can be happy after sitting on a stick too.
