longexposurephotography - playing with water
On my trip to Mittersill in Salzburg this summer i visited the Krimmler Ache, wich is a small river that is the source for the popular Krimmler Waterfalls. Me and Stefan where hiking from the valley in the morning to the waterfalls and afterwards to the Krimmler Arche wich took us the whole day, with several stops for photography of course. In normal conditions you should be able to walk this in about 3 hours and 30 minutes. But when you stop at every interesting place and do longtime exposure photography, of course you'll need a bit longer for this.

The water of the Krimmler Ache is very clear and beautiful but cold. So it's no river for swimming even when it's very hot outside and you just want to take a short cooling from the warm sun. Especially the detail shots of the stones in the water were very interesting for me this day. I focused on different stones in the water and did my longtime exposures with the water flowing around.

And of course if you visit Krimml you should not miss the big waterfalls that are really amazing. But you should be prepared to get wet because all around the hiking path along the waterfalls there is this spray of water in the air. Thats why a lot of people come there for asthma threating in the summer. The fine water is very good when you inhale it.

Wow... Really? Beautiful. Looks too aesthetic to be real. I love it.
