LORD, HELP ME TO BE PREPARED AT ALL TIMES

READ: Matthew 24:37-44
Key Scripture: Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come (Matthew 24:42)

THOUGHTS
It requires just a few hours for a house that took years to build to collapse under a hurricane storm. It takes even lesser time for a lifelong reputation to be crashed to pieces. Just two things are required; a little time and a little mistake and all you have labored is gone. Sin is the easy access that Satan has to carry out his three fold missions; to kill, to steal and to destroy. A little sin is more than enough to seal a fate. Avoid it! You are not doing anyone any favor but yourself. When you resist sin, it means you are resisting the devil and he will flee from you. Jesus warned the night before his death, "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Matt 26:41). The Bible has cautioned us on the deadliness of sin so many times, that while we seek to save the sinner, we should be careful lest our own garments be corrupted. Be prepared at all times and the Lord will see the simplicity of your heart and empower you.
