Most of us suffer from the perennial guilt problem. When we do something wrong or hurt someone, it is natural to feel guilty about it after sometime. Feeling guilty is a good thing but feeling perennially guilty is absolutely the wrong thing.
Guilt has a purpose. Guilt serves a function. Guilt comes with a lesson that must be learned. And then, when the lesson has been learned and you now know that what you did was wrong and you also now know the reason why it was wrong, it should be the time when you should thank guilt for its service and let it go.
