May the Luggage You Carry Never Weigh You Down

@lesliestarrohara created a post a few days ago, and part of what was said so resonated with me that i had to sit back, digest it, and think about what it meant to me. what i could mean for so many of us.

I want the luggage I carry through 2018 to be lighter than in previous years.

• it's not declaring the luggage will be gone - simply requesting that it be lighter
• the message isn't making the unavailable goal of perfection for the new year
• the intent is for continued strength and perseverance

there is so much beauty in the rest of her post as well - one of them being the emphasis on the desire to thrive.

NOURISH has been a word i've focused on for the last half of 2017, and will continue to focus on. her plans to create, elevate, and thrive all play into that.

it seems like many of us sense the calling for the circle of nourishment

• to take care of ourselves
• in turn taking care of our environment
• in turn taking care of each other
• in turn receiving care from others when needed
• feeding back into nourishment of the self

... and on that note. i'm going to sip some more of this delicious honey + ginger + lemon drink, keep my feet warm, and plan for a big bowl of bone broth for lunch.
