Thailand Bans Money Houses From Trading With Digital Currencies

in #life6 years ago

If anyone of you once visited the beautiful Asian country called Thailand, you know that the Thai government blocks every form of news pages. We have seen so many articles about crypto being banned, it´s unsafe, too risky, criminal and so on. That these news are only made for pressing the price down and making people scared of this currency that will change everyone´s life is pretty obvious. But now also Thailand has banned trading with crypto currencies for banks and money houses....

Banks and financial institutions in Thailand are prohibited from trading and investing in cryptocurrencies. The central bank of the country also prohibited the customer service - out of concern for fraud.

Thailand sets clear boundaries. In the future every financial institution is forbidden to do business with crypto currencies like bitcoin. The banks are prohibited from buying or selling cryptocurrencies according to the chairman of the Federal reserve Veerathai Santiprabhob.

I am so tired of these same absurd and stupid reasons that you hear and read almost everywhere. "
Worries about fraud, money laundering and terrorism" Well, the Thai people are already somewhat manipulated in my opinion so this is a bad example but I do not understand how people still think that their government want the best for the population.

But that is not all for now. Banks are also prohibited from trading digital currencies in conventional currencies or offering trading platforms. Which means you won´t be able to buy Bitcoin or any other digital currency and you also won´t be able to exchange your crypto currency into the local Thai valuta. In addition, credit cards may no longer be used to purchase digital currencies or advise customers on the purchase and trading of digital currency.

As I briefly mentioned above, the central bank announces that they are worried about possible problems and scam which is the reason for the ban! For example, the novel virtual currencies could be used to launder money or support terrorism. Surely, the mistrust of cryptocurrencies grows more and more after getting these news especially from the government. Special attention is being paid to the actions of Asian countries, because digital currencies are very popular in many Asian countries. But this makes the mistrust growing bigger day by day. Individual countries, such as China, are relatively rigid against cryptocurrencies, while others, such as Japan, are more reluctant to try and regulate trade...

But of course, government agencies like central banks are generally more suspicious of the boom in cryptocurrencies. But why? If a new world currency survives for such a long time and got companies such as JP Morgan invested, how can this be a scam? It will come a time where people will understand what is really going on and then we are standing right there proudly saying that we knew that crypto always had big potential to change the world and you can certainly see whats happening right now...

Other sources wrote the following

Mr. Tantivorawong said: “The government will not ban cryptocurrency trading. A regulatory framework to govern digital currencies will become clearer within a month.“After a recent discussion, related agencies agreed that regulators cannot stop the use of virtual currencies but will have to regulate and control them in an appropriate manner,” he added.

It is very interesting what you can find from different sources. It´s difficult to believe anyone if people write down different facts about a specific theme. Anyway, we´ll see what will happen within a month and I will be here to give the Steemians a little update about their decision.

We had a little dry season during the past couple of weeks what was expected. So many negative news from Asia, Chinese New Year and terrible messages about Bitcoin from all over the world. People here on Steemit are pretty smart so you might already know that this is only a current condition and all prices will shoot to the stars very soon. The only thing I can say is HODL!

We will see if Thailand will eventually cancel the regulation

What are your thoughts about the current CoinMarketCap status?

The scam is the main issue of banning crypto currencies everywhere. Maybe they feel crypto has no future and it causes numbers of issues and it may harm for their govt.
I wonder what's the future of crypto? Does it close everywhere in just few years or it may long run?
