Hello my dear friends. Today I want to tell you about the Uzhgorod Castle, namely about the torture chamber and about the ghost it's a castle. At that time we went to the torture chamber with our children. Despite the terrible situation, my children liked this tour.

XIV-XVII century. In Uzhhorod begins the hunt for witches. That's when the Catholic Inquisition came here. In my photo you can see a man in black. This is the inquisitor. In translation, the word "inquisitor" means "investigator". It was he, the inquisitor. Sent to the terrible torment of those who were considered witches.

The legend of the ghost of the castle

This ghost is called the ghost of love. A young girl, Druget's daughter fell in love with a simple guy. She did not know that in fact this guy was a Polish knight who wanted to capture the castle. She fell in love with him, and when later she found out who he was, she told him about the secret passage. The knight could not seize the castle. He was unmasked and executed. The girl's father found out about the betrayal of her daughter and immured her alive in the fortress wall. Since then, at night you can see the prick in white. It's a ghost of love, walks around the castle and looks for her beloved.
