Thinking of Quitting Steemit? ...

Do you find it difficult to make Steemit work for you? Do you feel that it’s to much for to little?

Following

The answer is in the following. The bigger the following the better you will perform.

The question you should ask yourself is: ”How do I grow my following?”

Have a look on Steemit. You will see the users that have followings into the thousands 9/10 times make $100+ per post. Why? … because they have a large amount of people and a few true followers. It’s these true followers that upvote all the posts …

True Followers

This is a little nugget I got from Mr. Brunson. It’s related to building a following on Facebook. According to Mr. Brunson you need to have a least a 100 000 followers on Facebook to have 1000 true followers. These true followers will always buy from you. They are your early adopters and route for you all the way.

Mr. Brunson also recommends that you create content, get it out on Facebook and keep on doing this for a full year without expecting to much. Apparently you will only start growing seriously in year two.

Now taking into consideration the amount of effort that goes into creating content. Most don’t make it and fall away during the 1st year.

Why? ... because it's not viable ...

Takeaway

I think you can do a lot more with a lot less on Steemit. What I mean by this is you can have a lot less followers with a much better result.

You just gonna have to stick it out, commit to create 5 - 7 pieces of content per week and give it a good year before you can make a call. Does Steemit work for me or not?

Personally, I think if it’s not for the incentive, however small, people won’t work Steemit. On the other hand on Facebook you would not have made a cent. On Steemit you make something with the potential to be much more in the future.

Just a thought! … Steem on …

Good news...awesome

Hey @dediis, thanks for the comment and upvote ... 👍

Thanks for the nice writing. I learned a lot through your post. There is good contact and patience for the followers. Whether or new to me This is my experience in some days.

Hey @polashsen, patient, persistent and positive. If you can, invest some of your own money into the project. You will grow faster. Later, Shaun ...

I actually try to earn some curation. That's difficult! Let's see if I get some as 4th upvoter giving your post $0.12 value.

Did you at first invest some money in steem to buy SP?

For my curation it would really help if you spend a bit more at buying upvotes from the bots 😁

Hey @crypto-econom1st, thanks for the upvote ... 👍... Yes, I do invest some of my own money from time to time and I also do make use of the upvote bots. Steem on ... 🚂

Do you directly earn money via the paid upvote bots?
I tried it a few times, but most of the time it's not giving a very high return. Like today I send 0.1 SBD and I think I received a total upvote value of 0.11 sbd.

Hey @crypto-econom1st, you get around two - three times what you invest in the bot's. However, you need to check the "Current ROI, Last Round" an see how the bot is performing. If the bot's "Current ROI" is running at a loss you will have a poor result as well. Try spending around 3 SBD + per bot and see how it plays out. Then also, the higher SBD's value in the market the better your post will also do. Hope it helps. Later, Shaun ... 🌝

You are right that it might be best to use several bots instead of just 1. That will spread the risk that 1 bot gives a negative result.
However at this moment I'm not planning to earn money via the bots. Perhaps I will use them again in the future to test of it works to promote my posts. But I don't think it will really help if I spend a maximum of 5 sbd. And especially not if the quality of my posts is not to good (and at this moment I'm quite certain my posts don't have a very high quality).

Thanks so far for the nice conversation 😀

Hey @crypto-econom1st, I think the best way to learn is to do. The only way you will really know is if you test it. You are going to have to give it a go and measure the result.

If you can't measure it, you can't calculate it and if you can't calculate it you don't know what's working and what's not ...

Also what works for one user does not mean it's going to work for another. It's a trial and error exercise.

Anyways, all the best for the future. Steem on ... 🚂

True followers are often hard to find, but when you do find them, they give you and your words a value. In return, we have to give them something that they can value.

Hey @skiponline, I agree. I also think if people don't find value in what you have to say. They won't upvote and just move on. Lot's of content creators on Steemit. Thanks for the comment. 🌝

This holds true with anything in life. Good things take time to develop. Already I have been getting some good engagement, earning a few dollars here and there with posts. I haven't even been on a month, so I continue to push through. I may try uploading twice a day also to see if it does anything. I want to provide genuine value and inspiration to this platform. Hopefully I can stick with it. My biggest flaw is giving up on things too quickly. But writing for steemit will give me inspiration to keep up the work with my blog on self improvement and well being.

Hey @musicman99, patient, persistent and positive. I'm glad to see it's already starting to work for you. It gives you that much needed energy to keep pushing forward. According to master Steemians, one post per day is more than enough.

Yes, you will have to ad as much value as possible. If you don't, people will simply just move along.

I know the feeling. I also get board with stuff easily and simply loose interest. It all depends on how much value it ads to my life. Currently the math makes sense on Steemit. As long as it does I will Steem on.

Thanks for the comment. I wish you all the best moving forward. 🌝

Great point you made here. SteemIt is the only social platform where you can make at least some cents from the beginning but that doesn't mean it's going to be easy. The old saying is that "if it was easy, everybody would be doing it." That's why not everyone is successful and wealthy and truly happy because all those great things take time and effort and hard work. I love the quote you used from Steve Jobs. Based on what I have observed in my life so far, it is absolutely true.

Hey @silviaturon, I could not have said it better. Glad you liked the post. Thanks for the comment ...
