I like how that image looks like the spinner and the ripple symbol. How about this for a theory: I think the spinner was created to secretly influence our future generation to use the ripple token and blockchain. Bank are trying to survive to stay relevant in the rising crypto currency world. The spinner (which is pretty much useless btw) was created to get seeded deeply into our youths sub consious, a brilliant tactic if you think about it because it's only a matter of time before all banks start using the ripple blockchain.

Anyways, don't mind me i'm just speculating. But to answer your question, yes the goverment needs to find ways to control us because they need us. But do we need them?When we will start using smart contracts, the government will be pretty much useless.
