A Steemit first - Celebrating new life aside the jungle in Ubud, Bali - It's a girl!

Hello my Steemit friends. I feel like I can call you that now as together you have collectively helped me find faith in this platform.

So, today I want to share with you some magical news...

Sabrina & I are expecting our 2nd child in February and a few days ago we received the confirmation that our baby is in perfect health and is a girl! For this I am most grateful because now our 18 month old son Esteban will grow up with a younger sister, close in age to himself.

He will guide & protect her and together they will grow as they learn about the world. As a family intent on traveling the this great planet for as long as possible, we rarely stay longer than 6 months in one country. Though Bali does seem to have taken hold of us with its magic as we have been here for 10 months already and plan on staying now until our daughter is 3 months old. All of our children will be home educated by myself. I have little faith in our education system. And every confidence that our children will interact with other children just as much as those who attend the same school every day....if not more!

So, our daughter will be born here in Bali and it is our intention to have a home birth. I did a load of research on how best to assist with the pregnancy & birth process. And for six months we did an hour a day practicing a technique called hypno-birthing which I adjust a little using - the generally underused tool - my intuition! My system involved a 20 min period of mediation listening to soft music, followed by a long list of positive affirmations repeated in English and French (Sabrina is from Perpignan) and finally a period of glorious positive focused intentions towards Esteban himself.

I also gave him Reiki from time to time with my hands placed on Sabrina's stomach. I achieved my Level 1 Reiki whilst living in Thailand, just before Sabrina & I met on that fateful bus-ride between Chiang Mai & Pai. There are 3 Levels to Reiki, the highest of which is known as Reiki Master. It is my intention to progress to this level when the time is right and the correct courses are presented to me.

Here you can see the moment (a few days ago) when we learned that our second child was a girl. Yep, I like to film everything worth remembering! Easier for me than writing a diary :)

Esteban happens to be the most glorious child you will ever meet, full of joy and wonder. And I do believe we created this with our powerful focused intentions & energy work. And our daughter will be just as wonderful!

I am most grateful that the Universe has delivered me exactly what I wanted.... yet again :)
