Securing The Future

in #life4 years ago

One of the worst mentality anyone can have is "the future will take care of itself". Believe me, it is what you sow into your future that you will reap when you get to the future. Always remember that things do not just happen from nowhere or for no reason, but they happen as responses to the actions of people. If you must see good things in the future, then you must work it out today and sow good actions.

If everything that comes to you today (even in terms of finances) is spent on the immediate, without having plans for the future, then you are not prepared for the future. The future is not just reserved for people that stumble their way through to the future, but for people that have adequately made plans for what lies ahead.

Before you make expenses, try to ask yourself if you really need the thing or you are only doing it to feel belonged or to prove a point. Believe me, if you are too quick to buy what you do not need in order to show off, very soon, you may need to sell what you need in order to survive. What you cannot afford today, do not allow anyone to convince you that you can. You may not be able to afford it now but it does not mean you cannot afford it in the not-so-far future. Just try to live according to your size per time.

You are not in any competition to show off wealth or affluence. Sometimes, things do not appear as they are and the people you envy their expenditures, you may be better than them. Some people are just eating their tomorrow today. Any farmer that; for any reason; eats his seed in a particular planting season will go hungry when the time of harvest comes because he will have absolutely nothing to harvest.

It is what you invest into your future that you will fall back on at the later years. Always try to have multiple plans and options. Do not place a straitjacket over yourself in terms of investment - have other plans. This is because, if plan A does not work out, you still have plan B et al. Whatever happens, do not stop making investment plans towards your future.
