Precision Of Action: Requirement For Success

Making movement does not automatically mean going somewhere. As a matter of fact, even moving with speed does not guarantee arriving at your destination except you are on the right track. In a roundabout for example, someone can move round it with speed and still end up at the starting point. This also happens in life if someone loses their precision. In life's journey, speed does not always win the race; there is a need for accuracy and precision.

I once saw a particular racing event sometimes ago. In the particular race, one competitor braced the end-line first. However, something happened. A replay of the race was taken and it was discovered that in the mid-race, he mistakenly stepped off his track a bit. This led to his disqualification and the first runner-up took the medal instead. You see, even though he was faster than every other competitor, he lost precision and he lost out of the prize.

For every prize you want to achieve (including success itself), there is always a price and conditions you must fulfil. However, even in paying the price, there is still a how-to, otherwise it may produce no result or a negative result just like the scenario of the racing competition I cited earlier. When you contravene the rule attached to what you want to achieve, then efforts may be futile. This is also the reason many short cuts are not pure cuts and they carry their own consequences.

There is a very simple reason why it has been said that speed and direction must work together before you can arrive at your destination: First of all, you should have a proper knowledge of your proposed destination, otherwise you won't even know if you are making progress or not and you won't know when you arrive at it.

The truth is, if you have no idea of the place you are going to, the places that are not your destination will appear like it. Having a proper knowledge of what you want to achieve is the first step in the journey to achieving it.

No doubt, the solution to a particular problem or challenge will always start by defining the problem. After defining it, then you will map out a working plan to get it solved - that is how success beckons. Humans are here to either create problem or to get them solved, so you should choose the side of the division you want to be.
