A Better You

Some people do live their whole life competing against someone else, or trying to beat someone else's record. But the question is; have you beaten your own record? Life is not all about competition, but it is all about the level of impact you have created in the world around you.

One of the factors the pique competition between people is "comparison". But some tend to forget that we are all enroute differently in our pathway to success. Bearing this in mind, why would you then compare someone else's strength to your weaknesses? This has also been one of the banes of relationships - "hey!, see Mr A did this for this girlfriend, why would you not do the same for me?" And before you know wassup, contention would creep in.

You are born; not to compete against someone else; but to complete them. In your body; for example; the stomach does not compete with the mouth for supremacy, but work together for the good of the whole body - so also, we are meant to join forces together to better humanity at large.

The world does not need you to be better than someone else, but they need you to be better than the best of you. That is why we should endeavour to improve on ourselves. Do not just settle for "good", where the best is attainable. No matter how good you are, there is still enough room to do even better.

Posterity would only remember you for how you have affected the course of humanity positively. So let the light within you so shine for people in the dark to appreciate your goodness.
