No, you're not going to get out of poverty simply because you understand Christianity. Most of the people in the world live in countries where prosperity is very difficult to achieve because of corrupt court systems, bad infrastructure, cronyism, and laws that make economic growth difficult.
You're missing the bigger picture. If you're lucky you'll spend your first hundred years on the earth. After that you'll spend your next trillion years either in heaven or in hell. I'd rather be poor in this life and spend the next one in heaven than the reverse.
