Meditation can train the mind to stay positive, be patient and can give positive energy to the body. As we live in a very busy world and our life style became more loaded with work and responsibilities. So we often face anxiety, depression or demotivation. Meditation can help to reduce them and can give us the feeling of inner peace.

Starting meditation and continue it would be a challenge in our busy life. So we have to be determined to be in the routine first.

For a beginner it would be very difficult to sit in the same position for hours without thinking anything serious. As the process requires to be in 'empty mind' so without proper concentration and dedication it is very difficult.

So it would be fine to sit only for five-ten minutes at the beginning. Practise it for several days or it may take couple of weeks to get in the routine. Then when our body and mind prepared to hold th concentration we can expand the time.

You can choose the morning for meditation if possible. It will give you more advantage. After practicing for few weeks I think it would be better to meditate for 30 minutes a day. It will be more helpful if you can focus your mind for that long.

Some people prefer to meditate for hours, I have seen them. But it really depends on the life style. We may not get that much time. So from my opinion if you can give thirty minutes of time it would be enough to get the advantages to meditation.

I think the positive benefits of meditation is not much depends on how much we give it time rather how focus we are on it and how routinely we can do it. Consistency and focus is the major thing in meditation which leads relaxation and thousands of other mental and physical benefits.
