Elmar Kupke grew up in the Upper Palatinate as the youngest child with two older brothers.
He studied to become a teacher, among other things in the subject German and teaches today in Würzburg- Heidingsfeld.
Kupke founded the R+K publishing house in Würzburg and the aphoristic newspaper "Der PrivatDemokrat". His aphoristic essays and aphorisms are printed in various daily newspapers and magazines.
