Sam Al Helli, The Incredible Adventure #Podcast

Ramadi Strong - When "Big" Sam Al Helli was just a college kid in Baghdad, his buddy approached him and said, "Let's go become interpreters for the Americans." That moment set off Sam and his body "Ford" on adventures over the next few years as the two worked for US military units. In this case, Sam and Ford worked for Scott Huesing while Scott's unit fought to clear insurgents from Al Anbar's capitol city. Coincidentally, Pete also worked in the same area as Sam just a few years later.

In 2018, Sam became a US citizen completing an impossible adventure and a life-long love for the Marines of the 2-4. Their story is captured in Scott's Book, Echo In Ramadi.
