THIS WAS A LONG TIME COMING

Years in the making actually...

Some things in life take quite a bit of effort, like emptying a shipping container full of tote bins. Thankfully, we had help. With the upcoming birth of our new little pepper on the horizon, @grandpa-pepper and my mom drove down to be here for the event. While we wait, we decided to tackle a major task.

POSSESSIONS, LOTS AND LOTS OF POSSESSIONS

This story starts back in mid-2015. We were planning on moving from Wisconsin to the Ozarks, so we began having garage sales to "reduce our inventory." With a variety of possibilities, we also got rid of all our furniture, not wanting to cart furniture all over the country for a few years. What we didn't sell, give away, or trash came with us, on a number of 750 mile trips. The temporary resting place for it was a storage unit. Eventually, we got sick of the bill that comes with renting a storage unit and chose to purchase a shipping container.

With all of the shuffling over the years, this stuff isn't exactly organized. The original goal was just to get it here, and then it was to quickly empty the storage unit and say goodbye to that bill. Since we finally moved onto our land last September, we've finally got a house to start working some of it into. After living for the past three years without some of these things, I'm sure plenty will show up that simply is not needed anymore.

Today, with the help of @grandpa-pepper, we basically unloaded the shipping container, and then condensed and organized the items inside it. At the moment I'm still in the process of reloading it, but it feels good to take inventory and begin to make things more managable. Since we are a growing family of seven, a lot of the bins were clothing and shoes, and it's good to have things sorted by size and sex. Anyway, I've got to load the rest of the stuff back up. Have a blessed night everyone!

Until next time…

You should paint it with your family. Unfortunately the current one doesn't suit the Ozarks.

Bet you like it alot better now for sure! Awesome job! That's not easy! Keep it going and you will have an army to help.

You're right, we've got a lot of helpers growing up!

I feel for you. As gratifying as it is, it is definitely a lot of work. I have had a job-related moved for 15 years and 13 moves. Settling down feels wrong right this moment, but, oh! I think I can grow into it.

Sorting through all those things that I didn't get rid of... oh, yes!!

Good luck and nobody has to advise you to save or give! You are an expert. Good luck on the upcoming baby pepper!

Wow, I can't imagine how that would feel.

Well-traveled on some days, perfectly nomad-ish on others. Have a most wonderful week ahead!

CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR NEW HOME, TO DECORATE AND ORGANIZE, LUCK WITH FAMILY WORK

Man looks like a lot of work, but I'm sure after it was all said and done it was a great feeling. I'm hoping for some warmer weather soon because I have a lot of Spring cleaning in front of me, but would rather not do that in the snow.

Sounds like a lot of work but worthwhile. Blessings to you and your upcoming birth @papa-pepper

That's not illegal (yet)?
