20 YEAR OLD SEEDS IN AN ABANDONED HOUSE?
I did not expect to find this!
Recently, I had the opportunity to search an abandoned house and take whatever I might like. I was one of three people going through it at the time, and for the most part there was not much of interest. However, high in a cupboard, I found several cans of saved seeds. Starting back prior to 2000, there are many cans containing some interesting (and even dangerous) seeds. I hope to go through the cans completely in the near future and make a video about what I find. For now, I wanted to put this out as a teaser. I think I'll also be doing some germination tests. We'll see!

Dangerous? Now I am curious!
Same. :)
I recently ran across some seeds that are probably ten or eleven years old, collected from my first or second trip to Brooklyn with Marek, from an unidentified leguminous tree that was maybe twenty-five feet tall and about as wide.
I just planted a dozen or so seeds, about a week ago, and two have sprouted and are growing strongly. Time will tell if they make it long term.
I have a number of seed packs dating back to 1998-2000, and plan to do a germination test on them as well. They've been kept dry, and have been refrigerated for most of that time, so while there are no guarantees, I'm hopeful.
