Disney Nolonger Kid Friendly

The disney channel and its spin off, disney xd, are no longer safe spaces for kids. The kid characters are often mouthy and disrespectful to parents and authority figures. Even the animated characters make crass and nasty comments.

Some say that the disney is only reflecting our culture and doing what all corporations do by responding to consumer demand. This maybe be truer than we would like to acknowledge. Parenting skills are not what we like them to be but why exacerbate the problem.

As if disney ever gave a darn about your children. Now the parents are giving less a darn about their children. Perhaps they are less equip to understand what it takes to raise a morally grounded child. We have a generation of self absorbed individuals whose main concern is the latest and greatest car, cell phone or doodad.

When did we, as a society, give up on our innate instincts on the basics of raising children. Didn't your parents tell you that swearing is not good, didn't your mother teach you how to cook, didn't you dad teach you how to change the oil in the car? It's a wonder why our children are reverting to a primitive live style, joining gangs and competing in games like the knock out game or sexting. Children who believe the ultimate goal in life is to be a pro star whom kneels when the National Anthem plays or gets a role as some metrosexual (not male lead or female lead) movie star.

Whom is to blame, look in a mirror. Make sure your 'pussy hat' is on straight.
