Our Life Story | Chapter 20 – Kiesgrube “Park edition”

Hello dear Steemians,   

How was your weekend? Ours was great! We only have a couple of weekends left here in the Netherlands so we try to meet as much people as we can.    

Last Sunday we’re planning to celebrate my (Sacha) birthday on this small techno festival in Germany called Kiesgrube. It’s a summer festival that opens its doors every Sunday IF it’s sunny outside. Sunday it was going to be 22 degrees Celsius (72 degrees Fahrenheit) so perfect festival weather.    

The season just started and last Sunday was going to be the opening of Kiesgrube 2017. Unfortunately my friends and I weren’t really pushing to buy the tickets… And before we knew it, it was Saturday evening and Kiesgrube was sold out.    

Yes I regret that I didn’t buy the tickets in time but on the other side it saved us a lot of money. So instead of Kiesgrube we went to the local park with music, blankets, cold beers, wine and fruit and enjoyed ourselves in the sun.

It was so nice, we stayed until the sun went down. We packed our bags and went out for dinner together.( French fries and snacks tho, but that counts as dinner as well right?)    

And guess what? Kiesgrube turned out to be kinda lame. It was way too crowded, expensive and the music wasn't that great! So we're super happy that we didn't buy the tickets after all :)    

Enjoy the little things in life. One day you’ll look back and realize they were the big things.
