I remember when I came back to Japan a few years ago only with 2 suitcases and moved into an empty apartment. What an uplifting feeling of not carrying anything unneeded, not being completely digitally connected but still having all choices possible.
Haha, yes, thats a nice feeling.
Japanese are historically without much cumbersome stuff. May it be the philosophical background, the type of tradional house or the high prices in e.g. Tokyo.
What the "tiny house" movement from the US does is basically a Japanese apartment onto wheels :D
