My 82-year-old baby

I am a woman who was born in the city. Luckily, I get married with a man was born in the North of Viet Nam. Why I said that, because I found a lot of interesting and ancient people around there.

I have been so busy with my teaching all the year, so just spend time to visit my husband’s hometown on the holiday. On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2018, I visited my grand mother.

I always call her "my 82-year-old baby". Every time I did that she laughed so much. I want to make her happy. I don’t know how long we have been together, but I hope the rest of her life is full of happiness

Although she is 82 years old, my grandmother likes to live alone, she can take care of herself very well. She is very casual in getting dress. She just likes traditional clothes. The things she always takes to go outside is a hat and a stick.

This is the stick that my uncle bought for her. The stick helped her walk more firmly.

She lives in a house that our family built 10 years ago.

Its architecture based on traditional houses in the past. The roof is covered with tile

The gate has the Chinese text. Its means Happiness, Wealth and Longevity

The center of the house is a big room in which the ancestral altar is placed in the middle. On the right side is the bedroom.

One of the great things I want to share with you is that she is a heroic mothers of Vietnam. This is the noble title that the government gives to mothers of soldiers who sacrifice in war.

They are two my uncles. They were solders when they was at the age of 16, 17.

I love my grandmother, every time I visit her I would love to hear her stories about the life many many years ago. I always expect her to be healthy and live for a hundred years
