Poppy the teeth cleaning Budgie
We have had quite a few pets, Dogs, Rats, Hamsters, Cockatiels, Fish, and a Budgie called Poppy. We used to let her out to fly around the front room when we were watching TV, she used to land on your head or hand and just stay there, she didn't like being handled when she was in her cage but once she was free she would spend ages sitting on your hand talking you and eating treats.
She used to love sitting on my hubby's hand and clean his teeth, she must have trusted him so much as she really gets her head in his mouth. My best bit is the very end when he gives her a kiss. She was such a lovely friendly bird out of her cage but when she was in her cage she was mad.

We had her a few years after getting her off a older lady, we had her around 5 years then lost her :(

Aunt had a budgie that would eat from your lips, it got fed sherry diped biscuit crumbs, afterwards it could fly ok, but llanding on a wire that had been mounted for that purpose, was funny. A couple of 'to high'passes, the next one was high neck level. Only time I have seen a budgie tumble in mid air. Eventually it did land, then gravity got to much, the head went forward, the body followed, but the message to the feet to let go never arrived. It tried a few flaps of the wings and started goinig around the wire like a windmill. Eventually it was put back i ti its cage to sleep it off.
A drunk budgie haha bless it hope it didn't suffer hangovers
I wasn,t there the next orning, next time we visited it was first in line for a biscuit, it must have had good dreams and relised where those dreams came from. At least it was a happy drunk.

Birds are so neat. My grandma had one that would try to feed you sometimes when it would land on your hand. It would throw up some food on your hand but clean up what it gave you if you didn't take it. It was a really pretty blue bird as I remember.
