RE: How will the overwhelming discovery of extraterrestrial life affect our lives and beliefs?

in #life5 years ago (edited)

I do believe in the existence of life on other planets.

It is impossible that it does not exist.

There is no logical reason why it can not be true. On the contrary all the sensible explanations (without religious ties) that we can imagine, will conclude that it is possible that there is life on other planets.

Related to this fascinating topic we will find two aspects. Only two: Those who believe in this and those who do not.

What would happen if...

We would have people who were right and were considered atheists, insane. We would also have other people who said they were right but were wrong.

Of course this would cause great alarm in the population.

Governments considered "world powers" would try to take advantage of this.

All this would happen only with demonstrating its existence and its presence on earth.

But what would really mark a before and after in the history of humanity would be when the intentions with which they would be visiting us were evident. That is, will they come in peace?

I could imagine the Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on the doors of the aliens to bring them eternal salvation.

Hello, my dear friend @juanmolina!

There is no logical reason why it can not be true.

That's right, my dear brother. It is good to know that you too are open to the possibilities and that in no way would you change your beliefs.

That is, will they come in peace?

That's a different story (harina de otro costal). For that, it is necessary to use Sun Tzu, the art of war by establishing mediations with superbly advanced entities

You are the king of sarcasm.

Btw, I didn't know you have a first and second type contact! That's awesome!
