I've always been someone to give at least two chances when it comes to a romantic relationship, and by chance I mean a serious betrayal not a small or simple one.. But a massive breach of trust.
I'm still haunted over one particular woman who I gave 3 chances! And many people were telling me that 3 was too much, that people shouldn't get more than 1 second chance. And.. Opinions vary.. But I felt like 3 was a good number..
Now after reading your message.. I realize.. I did to her what she did to me in a sense.. Not the cheating and sleeping with someone else or lying or any of that shit.. But.. The abandoning part.. Once she abandoned me over and over and over again.. I abandoned her.. And at the time even until just before I read your message I felt justified in that.
I felt like.. She did it to me first numerous times. I'm just sort of returning the favor for lack of a better way to say it. I'm trying to give her her own medicine.
Even just recently I sent her an angry message for how I feel like she left me behind and went off and started a new life without even really caring about me at all.. And.. I told her if I saw her in person I would probably yell at her and walk away angry, and I expressed how much I hate her and what she did to me..
But now.. After your article.. Maybe I should try to do my best to not abandon people even if they abandon me over and over again.. Cause.. Rarely does using the same mentality that created the problem going to solve it. Much like dropping bombs on people will likely never create peace. Violence tends to create more violence and perhaps abandonment creates more bad energy in one form or another.. I dunno..
It's something to think about though and I thank you for your article, it really got me thinking.
