My Travel Rio Orinoco / Venezuela Bolivar (Photographs)
Hello friends of Steemit, I spent some days touring the Bolivar State here in Venezuela, a totally unique journey, very good landscapes, a great atmosphere to spend the day, always with the camera in hand to keep a memory of this trip that began 5:32 AM with destination to the border with Brazil. One of the sites that caught my attention was the Orinoquia Bridge.
The Orinoco River is one of the most important rivers of South America that is born and runs mostly by Venezuela, the Orinoquia Bridge passes over this Great River.
Characteristics of the work
It has an extension of 3.156 M, four main towers of 120 m in height, 39 piles, two abutments, 388 piles, a free height above the maximum water level of 40 meters and a total board width of 24.7 m, with four traffic channels plus a railway track. It also has:
- Link from the Ciudad Bolívar-Ciudad Guayana Highway: 6 km and 4 channels of 3.6 m
- Link from Los Pozos (Monagas): 35 km and 2 channels of 3.6 m
- From La Viuda (Anzoátegui) to the bridge you will travel 125 km with 2 channels of 3.6 m
- The mixed bridge (road-rail) over the Orinoco River is a cable-stayed type with a fan configuration and H-shaped towers.
