London Has Its' Eye On You!

Yesterday was my R&R day, a time to catch up from the hustle and bustle and get some proper sleep! I have been going pretty hard for the last week and while I love hostel life for making new friends, it's certainly not the place for a perfect, full night's rest for a light sleeper like me! On Tuesday, I took the train back into town from down South first thing in the morning and was waiting to 'move in' with some friends who got off work at 11pm in London so that left me hanging around all day, watching the clock and then falling asleep at a coffee shop because I couldn't keep my eyes open! 🤣 When I got to their house, I was out cold for 14 hours! I guess my body needed some catch up (especially with the time difference!) That said, when I woke up I felt disappointed initially thinking I had "wasted the day" but when I finally got to the area I was trying to see and the sun was setting, I realized I had come at a beautiful time and reminded myself to forget the expectations and just give into the experience.
