This porgy gave me one of the toughest fight ever.
Caught this guy about 35 miles offshore in one of my Red Grouper Spots in the Gulf, for a fish this size it was the hardest fight I ever had on medium tackle. Thought it was a much bigger fish because of how hard he struck the bait and fought. Extremely strong dude.

You got the best fishing there!
It is pretty good, but it has its drawbacks like everything else. You have to go very far to get into 70 feet of water depth. The Gulf is very shalow, to get in 70 feet you have to go out about 35 miles. The Atlantic side of Florida where Miami is, you can get into 200 feet of water within 3 miles from shore. For offshore fishing it is much better.
