The Street Food..!!

in #life6 years ago (edited)

No emotion is greater than the emotion of food. And those emotions take enlargement when it comes to the street food. It's all so yummy and mouth-watering. The street burgers, panipuris, samosas, kachoris, chana-jor-garam, Mirchi Vada, bread pakodas and the list is large. I wonder what do people do in the countries where there is no such thing as "Street Food." Talking about we Indians, we always have a craving for the street food. We can go anytime to eat such things be it when returning from school and college, on Sundays, anytime when at home and in full mood, when we go for shopping when guests arrive at our homes and we take out illogical reasons to feed our stomach with the same. Isn't it?

What basically street food is?

We all know that the street food is all ready to eat food. Vendors sell street foods in their food carts and food trucks. We can find the street food in an area crowded with people. People leave no chance to eat the food and run to the vendors. The vendors serve them food to be instantly consumed.

Why people eat street food?

There are many reasons why people buy and eat street food. The first and foremost is their hunger for the indescribable tasty food. The other reasons may include the convenience in buying, the reasonable cost of the food, the ready to eat food, to taste new varieties, to remember the times when they were kids and for the satisfaction of the souls.

India is all surrounded by street food from everywhere. Every region in India possess some specialties about its street food. Almost every region is famous for some, or the other street food. More famous street food dishes other than mentioned above include the Vada Pav, Cholle Bhature, Parathas, Rolls, Bhel Puri, Sev Puri, Aloo tikki, Kebabs, Tandoori chicken, Bread omelette and Pav bhaji.

Street food other than normal public places can also be found in the events, in the fairs, exhibitions, literature festivals, in the market. Street food is loved by people all over the world. I met a girl from Austria at my friend @komal's place one day. We were talking and were discussing our cultures. Then suddenly she started feeling hungry and wanted to have some street food as she loved Indian street food and also told us that she hasn't eaten anything like the Indian street food. She was able to say this because she visited India a few years back too and had all varieties of Indian street food.

We went to the market and then she chose to eat one samosa, one kachori, one agre-ka-petha, fried peanuts and I guess some coconut water. We came home and she chose to sit bare on the balcony in the Sun. (As at that time winters were at their peak) She was eating the samosa and the kachori with so admiration that we were amazed, not actually amazed but I can say the feeling was something different. The happiness on her face because of the food was boundless.

So, it's not only Indians who have a hunger for street food, instead, it's all about the world. Most of the street foods are classified as both finger food and the fast food. I know you all people are well aware of both of the terms. But then also let me elaborate a little. Finger food as the name itself suggests is the food to be eaten directly using the hands. Fast foods include all the hot foods say hamburgers, pasta, pizza, chips, garlic bread, cutlets, noodles, honey chili potato, nachos, and the list is still too huge.

Food is something that makes a person run daily. A person struggles hard to fulfill all the needs of him and his family. He struggles to get into all the luxuries and comforts of life. But the first and foremost he struggles to fulfill the most common and essential need which cannot be sacrificed at any cost - "The Food."

Hope you all enjoyed the post..

Indian street food is the best food. The convenience it offers cannot ever be matched by restaurant dining. Just pick whatever you feel like eating, buy in whatever number or quantity you want to, spend only as much as you want to, portion control your food in the way you want... just so many benefits. Street food is like the laptop of the food world.

And for vegetarian North Indians like me, basically all of my Indian food is a street food in a way lol and what's there to eat in an Indian restaurant anyway! Paneer sabzis? Naans? Rice and biryanis? Yawn.

Yes, you are absolutely right! The comfort we get on eating street food cannot be matched by the restaurant dining. And I think no one can deny this fact. As street food has always something that satisfies our souls and gives us immense happiness.

hey @freebirdkhushboo looking yumeee mouthwatering...
