I'm from Venezuela and I'm planning on moving to Mexico because of the situation my country is going through, and your post just made my desire of moving out a lot stronger than it already was, even though you moved there for a totally different reason.
I met some people from Venezueal here, and they told me about the situation over there... I'm so sad to hear that :(
