Where are the civilizations before the Egyptians

Consider that the Easter Island statues are buried by tens of feet deep. It takes thousands of years for this amount of soil to be deposited. It is entirely possible that beneath your feet ten meters (or yards) there is the ruins of someone's home. Or possibly you live in an apartment house and your neighbour is a hoarder.
