What about slavery in Canada?

To give a little context to any discussion of slavery or racism, there are more slaves today than the time of the American Revolution. Yes, some people who have "white" skin have done bad things in the past ... but so have people without "white" skin. Today slavery is illegal in any predominantly "White" country. There are many countries that are not predominately White where slavery happens under terms disguising the fact it is slavery.

An estimated 30 million people worldwide are living in modern-day slavery, according to the inaugural Global Slavery Index published yesterday.
The index, compiled by the Walk Free Foundation, said that while India had by far the largest number of enslaved people, the problem was most prevalent in the West African nation of Mauritania, where 4 percent of the population was deemed to be held in slavery.
The estimated 2.9 million people in modern slavery in China "includes the forced labour of men, women and children in many parts of the economy, including domestic servitude and forced begging, the sexual exploitation of women and children, and forced marriage", said the report.

I am not saying that the colour of a person's skin has anything to do with the makeup of their character. Regardless of their skin colour or even social ancestry, Canada embodies the precepts handed down by our "Protestant" immigrants: the individual is responsible for his own actions. (I am using "his" because I am pointing to myself as an individual. If you are a female or another gender or sex and choose to repeat this statement ... substitute your own pronoun.) If you are a person who wants to do right not because your group thinks it is right but because it is right ... you qualify. If you are in Canada and believe that it is valid to follow the mob ... go away.
