Words about the climate change by Bill Nye

in #life7 years ago

"They’re just trying to shoot the messenger, Climate change is bigger than I am; it’s bigger that you are. I’m sorry, people, you can shoot the messenger but the climate is still changing.

Climate change is happening in slow motion, it’s not an instant catastrophe, it’s subtle, But when you go to the Greenland and see the ice, there’s no more arguing about it.

You can’t choose to believe in gravity or not; if you walk off a cliff, you will be affected aversely. Climate change is not a 50-50 thing which you can choose to believe in or not. If you choose to ignore human’s influence on the world’s climate, we will be affected adversely. "

[Bill Nye]

Again, third year in a row, Arctic sea ice reaches record low:

Life always finds a way.
Nothing is forever and as Elbert Einstein said " All structures are unstable, eventually."
So natural life will change with humans engulfing areas, how do you feel about government climate change, its huge weather machines Obama funded?
Or does government doing chem trails and using weather changing machines not effect climate enough for people to care?

I've got a question for you not pertaining towards your post...
I heard about the assaults in Cologne on New Years... I was curious, what's your take on immigration in your country? Is it as bad as they say, has your day to day life changed in anyway over the past five years?

Yeah, that made huge waves in Germany. The Media wasn't blaming the refugees, but the police operation on new year 2016. They didn't take the situation for real and totaly underestimated it, what led to the disaster.
And no, not at all did my day to day life change because of refugees over the last years. Life is still good in Germany, even better with our refugees.
Germany is rich, we can afford to welcome many more refugees. And I am happy about everyone here that is saved from the miserable where they come from.
Future steps need to be made now in the imigration process, like finding real places for them to live in Germany (not the collecting camps) and give these citizens work!

In conclusion: Welcome refugees, I'm glad you are here!

I'm so glad you answered this way. There are a lot of people who seem to think Europe has become some sort of cesspool for letting in refugees. It's so overhyped in the media that other countries get a very different picture than how it actually is. I live in Britain and I'm still pissed off that we got scaremongered out of the EU. I was trying to get an Irish passport so I could retain an EU one as well as a British one but it's been complicated.

Sorry to hear that life is getting more complicated for you, since the brexit is a sure thing. This was a huge mistake for the economy of Great Britain and the people living there, if you ask me....

I'm in Scotland where it sucks even more, because we voted to stay and we're not getting another referendum by the looks of it. Oh well. I do love living in Scotland I have to say, we've got gorgeous countryside and awesome people, I'm just a bit gutted the vote didn't go the way the majority of us up here wanted!

Yeah that sucks. I was in Edinburgh last February and you are right, the people there are really kind and always in a good mood. As I was just for 3 days in Edinburgh, I haven't seen much from the rest of Scotland. But the arthurs throne was a cool little Exkursion as we hijked on top of it
