Sex Drive

On this planet sex drive keeps things moving right along. Let's face it, if it wasn't for sex drive and needing to eat most of us would never get off our butts.

So what if the great cosmic force (God) that created the universe wanted to have a little fun with his creation? He might make this key motivator, sex drive, different in a man and woman. That would be funny wouldn't it? Ya know, make it so that sometimes when the man wants sex, the woman doesn't. Or sometimes make the woman want sex really bad, just to confuse the man totally.

Well that's exactly how things are as illustrated by this chart:

Female Sex Drive

The female sex drive is like the oscillating wave on this chart. It's up! It's down! It's like being on a rollercoaster! Often the wave peaks and troughs will correspond to the ovulation and menstrual cycles.

If you translated the female sex drive into words it would go something like this:

It would go from
"Get away you creep!" (for the low part of the wave)
to
"GIVE IT TO ME NOW!" (for the high part of the wave).

Male Sex Drive

Male sex drive is a totally different story. The sex drive in men is always on and it's always high (but not as high as the female's wave crest).

Translated into words the male sex drive would go something like this:
"Give it to me!"
"Give it to me!"
"Give it to me!"

Viva la Difference

So there it is. God's little joke, giving males and females different sex drives, and leaving it to us to figure out how to deal with it. If we're lucky we still make connections and enjoy this special part of life despite our differences.
