Hey all steemians!
Today, I'm reviewing a Belgian beer called Petrus Dubbel from the brewery De Brabandere. I have heard good things about this beer, so my expectations were high.
Brouwerij De Brabandere started almost 125 years ago and is located in Bavikhove. The brewery is still a family business and one of the largest independent breweries in Belgium. Lately, they have made investments to increase the capacity to 500,000 hectoliters.

Here's a list of their most well known beers:
Petrus Aged Pale
Petrus Aged Red
Kwaremont
Petrus Roodbruin (Oud Bruin)
Wittekerke
Bavik Super Pils
Petrus Tripel
Petrus Blond
Petrus Dubbel

Appearance: dark red/brown colored beer with medium beige head.
Smell: aroma of roasted malts, fruits, caramel.
Mouthfeel: medium body, average carbonation.
Taste: sweetness, caramel, malty, yeast, chocolate, dark fruits with light bitterness in the finish.
Yummy! It was as good as I expected. You can feel lots of different flavors in this beer and no disturbing off flavors can be found. Petrus Dubbel is one of the best Belgian dubbels that I have tasted so far! So if you like this beer style, you have to check it out! I will give it a rating 4 out of 5. Awesome beer!
