Robots Coming? Nah

in #life6 years ago

It is hard to look at any news site without seeing something that will take the human away from work. Whether this is human robots, driver-less cars, or AI. They are usually between the Trump hate articles, and athletes complaining about taxes. I don't necessary disagree that robotics will play a huge role in the future, but lets not get to excited. download (1).png

I believe the main issue will be a power source, robots take a lot of juice to keep going, and right now they can't even make my phone last longer than a day, and shoot in 6 months it is like 4 hours... So what will we have to do have wires everywhere, or just making a ton of batteries, o which by the way are one of the hardest things on the environment. Tesla is by far the best battery for cars, but even they have limits. Especially when it comes to charging, and or burning up into flames.....

Not to mention Elon or the father of Robots as he would like to be called. "That is total speculation by me, he might prefer mother." I don't want to force him into a box. Recently said he underestimated the human element after all the problems at the Tesla factory. https://www.livescience.com/62331-elon-musk-humans-underrated.html

It is really kinda interesting to see.

I think we are just getting the tip of the iceberg at this point when it comes to robots and A.I tech. Developers are working on so many different things and I can see a future that looks like the one portrayed in Minority Report and many other sci-fi flicks. The more humans look for an "Easier" way or try to reduce the number of tasks they are responsible for then the more A.I and robotics will creep into our lives.

I hope the panning was fun yesterday.

Panning was fun, just a terrible spot. We were doing all the dirty work of trying to find the gold vein on this property for a guy. 30 people were there, but when the place is 40 acres it is still big.

Robots, AI and Automation are taking over for sure.... There will be less and less jobs as wheel of time trundles along... More people, less jobs, less food.... Interesting times lie ahead.. We need strong open minded leaders... Unfortunately, not many exist in politics... Most have vested interests or less than admirable motives... You do get some good ones, but they don't go too far... It takes a certain type of person to climb certain ladders, so the ones who have the peoples best interests at heart rarely if ever climb to the top where the real decisions are made..

Ya, it can burn a you out, I have stepped down from helping in a position. I could not take the stupidity and just sheer lies of people.

I don't blame you, it is so draining when people are not honest and straight about things..

I live in California. We are testing the cashierless amazon store on a college campus. With driverless cars we better look both ways twice. Lol
Joy

It might have a great affect in the future but it is not happening sooner that is for sure .

Who knows what kind of tech might develop in the coming days it might be possible but Humans are irreplaceable ;)

Right about this, my batteries are dead

Lol, maybe having wires all over wont be so bad lol

Steve Wozniak said that robotics and artificial intelligence technology will distroy our world in future. Do you agree with him?
